Pasta Lori Puglia was founded twenty years ago, building on the Loizzo family's company's many years of experience in durum wheat milling and a long-standing tradition of cultivating and marketing Apulian wheat, cereals and legumes. Today, Pasta Lori is exported to more than 80 countries worldwide and is chosen every day by thousands of consumers for the unique flavour it brings to the table. The distinctive taste of Pasta Lori is the result of close collaboration with farmers, respect for natural cycles, supply chain agreements that ensure access to the finest grains, the expertise of its workforce and the careful selection of suppliers. These simple principles have helped the company grow and establish itself.
It all began in 1971 in Stia, in the heart of Casentino, when Pier Luigi Valentini founded the Pastificio Artigianale Casentinese. A small business born out of a passion for fresh pasta and a desire to bring the authentic taste of Italian tradition to the table. The early years were marked by hard work and determination. Initially producing potato tortelli, pici, pappardelle, tagliatelle, tortellini and lasagne sheets, the company's products gradually gained recognition in the local area, eventually reaching bars and restaurants throughout the province. In 1992, his son Patrizio joined the company and helped transform the artisan business into a well-structured enterprise, bringing Valentini products into large-scale retail distribution and, subsequently, onto international markets. Today, Patrizio, together with his wife Elena and son Pier Luigi, carries forward the legacy of a family that has been dedicated to quality, tradition and innovation for over fifty years.
